FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I want to get help but my partner isn't willing.
Its fairly common that only one person is interested in seeking help. It only takes one person to shift the "dance" of a relationship. When you change how you show up and communicate, typically the change is noticed and soon the people around you adapt to the new dynamic. Individual work can have a profound "ripple effect" on your partner.
How do I know if coaching or counseling is right for me?
During the consultation, we will assess your goals. If you are looking to heal from trauma or manage a diagnosis, counseling is best. If you are looking to optimize your life, overcome specific hurdles, or reach new milestones, coaching is the way to go.
How long does it take to see results?
While many clients feel a sense of relief and clarity after the very first session, meaningful change usually takes 4 to 6 months of consistent work. Growth is a process of unlearning old habits and building new ones, so we move at the pace that ensures your results are sustainable.
How long are the sessions and how often do we meet?
Initially, we meet weekly to provide the best momentum and sessions are 50 minutes.
Are sessions held in person or virtually?
In-person is recommended but virtual sessions are offered.
Is the information I share confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is top priority. All sessions and communications are kept strictly confidential, ensuring a safe and secure space for you to explore your goals.
What is the first session like?
Think of the first few sessions as a "strategy and discovery" meeting. We will dive into your current challenges, clarify your vision for the future, and identify the immediate roadblocks holding you back. You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of how we’ll work together to close that gap.
Isn't talking to my friends just the same as talking to a coach or therapist?
While friends and mentors are wonderful supports, they speak from personal experience, are often biased by that experience and are typically one sided due to the nature of your friendship. Professional coaches and licensed therapists are trained to remain objective and acknowledge our own biases (yes, we are human, too). This ensures the focus stays on the growth of the individual or couple.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Absolutely. We want to make sure we are a good fit for you so we offer a free consultation to discuss your needs, answer any questions, and help you chose a path that ensures the best success.
